Постдокторські стипендії у Корнельському університеті

The Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies at Cornell University will award two Postdoctoral Fellowships for the 2014-15 academic year in the field of foreign policy, security studies, and diplomatic history.

The Einaudi Center, established in 1961, helps to stimulate, support, and coordinate Cornell’s work in and about the world and provides a forum for a broad dialogue that cuts across the disciplines and serves to internationalize the university’s research, teaching, and outreach agenda. For additional information on the Einaudi Center, visit www.einaudi.cornell.edu.

The fellowships will provide opportunities for research and teaching in the field of foreign policy, security studies, and diplomatic history. We seek to attract outstanding junior scholars from all over the world whose work demonstrates excellence in the social sciences or humanities and addresses questions of lasting importance.

The primary responsibilities of the fellows include research and publication of their work. Fellows are expected to interact with undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty; give a public lecture; teach one undergraduate course in the spring semester; contribute to the intellectual life of the Einaudi Center, and participate in its collective activities and development. A member of the Center’s faculty network will serve as a mentor during the fellowship and will meet on a regular basis with the fellow.

The stipend will be $43,000. These fellowships begin in August 2014 with a term of one year. The fellowship will provide office space and access to Cornell’s facilities. Fellows must be in residence at Cornell in Ithaca, New York. Fellows are eligible for employee benefits, including health insurance.

To Apply

Applicants should include a cover letter that describes their research interests, a separate 1-2 page research proposal, and a CV, and should arrange to have two referees submit letters of recommendation. Please submit your application electronically to https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/fellowship/2966 by January 6, 2014.

Fredrik Logevall, Vice Provost for International Affairs, Director of the Einaudi Center and Professor of History, chairs the selection committee. Preference will be given to recent recipients of a doctoral degree. Finalists may be asked to visit Cornell for an on-campus interview, or to participate in a telephone/Skype interview. Cornell University is an equal opportunity, affirmative action educator and employer, and we strongly encourage applications from woman and minority candidates.

Please email any inquiries to the Einaudi Center’s Director of Programming, Heike Michelsen at hm75@cornell.edu.
